CITY-WIDE, YEARLY RACQUET SPORTS LEAGUES
June 1st one year - until - May 1st next year
THESE LEAGUES CAN BE SET UP IN ANY CITY THAT HAS ENOUGH INTERESTED PLAYERS AND COURTS/TABLES TO PLAY ON.
It is perfect for racquet sport players that:
- specialize in one, two or maybe three racquet sports
- don't belong to any Racquet Club, and if they do, they would like to play different players from outside their club
- would like to find other players at their level in the city they live
- would like to stay active and enjoy their sport all year long
- would like to challenge their skills and improve constantly
- would like keep track of games they play and their progress
- are serious about their game but like to have fun
- would like to find players in other cities when they travel
RULES ARE SIMPLE:
- Leagues are open to men and women of all ages living in the same city;
- Groups in a league are divided by skill levels (you decide in which group you like to play). At first we may combine two different groups (like for example C + CC), and with time, as we get more players, we will separate them (like C and CC) possibly making them last 5-6 months (subject to players vote).
- Everybody plays everybody (Round Robins) in a group at least twice (subject to number of players) and players should be committed to complete all their matches before end of the season (plenty of time to do that - my suggestion: don't wait untill last moments);
- Length of matches we'll be as follow:
TENNIS best of 5 sets
TABLE TENNIS best of 7 games PAR 11 (rally points)
BADMINTON best of 5 games PAR 21 (rally points)
SQUASH best of 7 games PAR 11 (rally points)
RACQUETBALL best of 5 games to 15 points
PADDLEBALL best of 5 sets
SPEEDMINTON best of 5 games PAR 16 (rally points)
PICKLEBALL best of 5 games to 11 points
- Top and bottom 2,4 or 6 players (subject to number of players in a group) will move to either higher or lower group at the end of the league season;
- Top players can play PLAY-OFFS at the end the league season - best of 3 or 5 matches (subject to players decision);
- Players missing too many matches (exact number to be determine) for other reason then injury, will be eliminated from the group to allow new players in;
- Ranking will be based on performance (winning player gets 2 points every time). For players with the same amount of points, amount of won games is taken under consideration, and if that is the same points in each game counts;
- Players schedule their own matches, line judge, keep score and report it to the organizers by either website, e-mail or fax, no later than 5 day after the match;
- Organizers keep track of matches, games and points and this information will be posted on the website uptaded often;
- No show for schedule match without contacting other player, will result in rewarding the player that was present 3:0 or 4:0 in games and 2 points.
- just STAY ACTIVE AND KEEP PLAYING.
We always welcome your comments and suggestions to make these leagues even better.
